Qilian House is a school leader in academics, responsibility and sport. The Qilian pastoral staff encourage their students to lead by example. Rising early, working hard, and helping classmates are the behaviours encouraged throughout the House. Students of Qilian House are known for their diligence in study, good manners, and exemplary personal conduct.

Qilian House won first and second prizes in the 2017 school Mathex competition.
