Admission

The RDFZ ALC is open to all students in Beijing, and is heavily oversubscribed with ever increasing application to admission ratios. This year over 1300 students have applied for the 300 places. Entry into Senior 1 (Grade 10) is by competitive selection. Students who pass the school’s English Reading and Writing Tests, Mathematics in Chinese Test, Mathematics in English Test and Non-Verbal Reasoning Test are invited to a face-to-face interview with the Centre Director or Centre Principal. Those who demonstrate a high level of spoken English are given a provisional offer of a place at the school. Acceptance at the school is then dependent on the student achieving a superior score in the Chinese Zhong Kao (High School Entrance Examinations).
