2016年12月4日，2016年第二届“中译杯”全国青少年口译大赛北京赛区决赛拉开帷幕。来自高二年级的金大任、丁心玥同学代表我校参加了本届大赛的四轮选拔。经过一天的激烈角逐，金大任同学和丁心玥同学分别获得北京赛区决赛二等奖和三等奖的好成绩。其中，金大任同学凭借北京赛区决赛第二名的优异成绩晋级“中译杯”全国青少年口译大赛全国赛。

On December 4th of 2016, the 2nd annual CTPH Cup All-China Young Interpreters’ Competition Beijing Final was held in Beijing. Daren Jin and Xinyue Ding, two of our senior two students, took part in the four rounds of the contest. After a day of intense competition, Daren won the second place and Xinyue Ding won the third place. Daren was successfully promoted to the National Final on January 21st.

比赛第一轮为命题演讲，主题为政府与个人在改善环境方面的责任问题：“Who shouldhave more responsibilities  to take care of our environment? The government or individuals?”来自各校的参赛选手逐一上台进行90秒的英文演讲，风采各异，我校的两位参赛选手均取得了不错的成绩。

The first round of the contest is an entitled speech which lasts about 90 second for each candidate. The topic is “Who should have more responsibilities  to take care of our environment? The government or individuals?”.All candidates presented various ideas in different styles. In this round, both of our students achieved excellent results.

比赛第二轮为源语复述，参赛选手听取一段英文录音后使用英文向评委复述录音的主要内容和主题。

The second round is about retelling the source language. Candidates retell the story from the recordings.

第三轮为英译中，参赛选手听取一段英文录音后使用中文组织语言向评委复述录音的主要内容和主题。

The third round is about listening to an English recording and interpreting in Chinese.

第四轮为中译英，参赛选手听取一段中文录音后使用英文组织语言向评委复述录音的主要内容和主题。

经过四轮比赛的角逐，我校高中金大任和丁心玥同学取得了很好的成绩，他们表示：所取得的成绩与在校内校外的日常积累是分不开的，高中部严谨而科学的国际课程令他们能够在校外的竞赛活动中更加游刃有余。金大任同学表示，由衷地感谢他的指导老师，我校IGCSE/A-Level英语教师巨杨老师，他在命题演讲和源语复述两轮比赛中取得较高分数，离不开巨杨老师对他的专业指导和鼓励。

After four rounds of competition, Daren and Xinyue achieved excellent results and entered the National Final. The two students said that their achievements were attributed to their daily English learning accumulation. The intensive international curriculum and environmentin our school assist them to accomplish this contest with ease. According to Darren, the achievements he got in the first andsecond round also come from the professional guidance and encouragement from his contest instructor teacher Erin and he appreciated for this.
